Don’t worry, you’re not seeing things. That black smudge is on fact Jon, going super fast.
They call him Dimitri
Found in one of our many skip hunts, he’s mute, scarred all over his face, and his hat is fused to his noggin. Some say he eats pigeons when no one is looking. Some say he was brought up by a collection of squirrel men, who reign the skips and tips. Some say he painted his pubes yellow to read in the bed. Some say he is in fact our housemate, Mikey. We call these particular people crazy.
He plays the ‘Saw’, using his bow, and can play a mean ‘God save the Queen’.
The sculptures of ourselves watching a video of how we made the whole exhibition, remixed with Alice in Wonderland Cartoon and an Alice in Wonderland porno from the 1970’s. Kudos to Leo as it turned out fantastic.
This is meant to represent our lifestyles, as we do spend a lot of time on the living room and Alice in Wonderland is a link to our childhood. I don’t want to go in much deeper than that. Man.
So this is the end…
For now anyway, we had our Private and Public Viewing. The garden did (and still does) look amazing, we didn’t realize the eerie potential until it went dark, and the candles, strobe light and fairy lights came into action. Brilliant. A big thank you to our house mate Mikey a.k.a Dimitri, for doing a performance piece for us, it was fucking great, and to quote our tutor Joe “Positively terrifying” hopefully footage will be shown on here soon by Maz.
The Private View was a bit quiet, but out tutors Joe and Jimmy seemed quite impressed with our overall effort, I was a tad annoyed that none of the industry people turned up, nor any of our other tutors. But nonetheless some of the guys family members turned up and enjoyed themselves.
The Public viewing was quite pleasant, a chilled out atmosphere, with guests coming and going, it was a nice rotation touch, because if it was packed out it wouldn’t be that impressive for an exhibition space, we also had a good BBQ courtesy of Mr Leo Vick. Final guests left this morning/afternoon at around 2pm.
Overall I’m chuffed with our outcome, and I’m quietly confident we’ll get a good mark for this.
Enjoy the pics ( I should of taken more on the night but I ran out of batteries).
